This policy explains how MeCASA Spaces (“MeCASA”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information through this website, mecasaspaces.com. MeCASA Spaces is run by Mecasa Spaces Ltd, a company registered in England, whose registered office is at 214 Grangewood House, 43 Oakwood Hill, Loughton, Essex, IG10 3TZ, England. Mecasa Spaces Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. If you have any questions, email us at info@mecasaspaces.app.

MeCASA is an AI interior design app that has not launched yet. This website explains the planned app and lets you register your interest. The app itself will have its own privacy information when it launches.

What we collect

When you register your interest, we collect:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • anything you choose to tell us in the optional “What would you like to redesign?” field
  • the date and time you registered, and a record that you ticked the consent box

Please don’t include sensitive personal information in the optional message field.

Like most websites, our web server also processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type when you visit, so that the site can be delivered to you and kept secure.

How we use it and our lawful basis

  • Launch and update emails. We use your name and email address to tell you about MeCASA’s launch and related updates. We do this with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
  • Replying to you. If you’ve told us what you’d like to redesign, we may use it to understand what people want from MeCASA, and we may reply to you about it. Our lawful basis is your consent, and our legitimate interest in shaping the app around what people need.
  • Running and protecting the website. We use technical information to deliver the site and to block spam and abuse, based on our legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure.

Your phone number. If you give us your phone number, we will only use it to contact you about your registration or MeCASA’s launch. We won’t use it for marketing calls or texts unless you have separately agreed to that. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by choosing to provide it.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for automated decisions that affect you.

Withdrawing consent and unsubscribing

You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing info@mecasaspaces.app. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did with your information before you withdrew it.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run this website and send email, and only as needed for those services:

  • Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the registrations submitted through it.
  • Namecheap, which provides our email service. Registrations are delivered to our inbox and launch updates will be sent from it.
  • Google, which provides the fonts used on this website (Google Fonts). When you visit, your browser connects to Google’s servers to load the fonts, which means Google receives your IP address.

If we start using a different email or newsletter service to send launch updates, we will update this policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers, such as Google and Namecheap, may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep your registration for as long as we are sending launch and update emails about MeCASA. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, we will remove them, keeping only the minimum needed to make sure we don’t email you again. If MeCASA does not go ahead, we will delete the registrations.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Our website software may set cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work and to keep it secure. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your information
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it
  • ask for your information in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent at any time

To use any of these rights, email info@mecasaspaces.app. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has registered, please contact us and we will delete their details.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when MeCASA launches. We will change the “last updated” date at the top, and if the changes are significant we will let registered people know by email.
